Gender equality and corporate organization: from policies to concrete actions
From internal listening and training to process monitoring: how companies turn their commitment to gender equality into concrete organizational practices.
When discussing gender equality in the workplace, the policies and tools adopted by organizations provide the foundation for promoting equal opportunities, enhancing skills and competencies, and building a more inclusive working environment.
For this reason, an increasing number of companies are developing structured programs involving organizational processes, training activities and monitoring systems, also within the framework of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification.
Gender Equality in the Workplace: The Role of Corporate Policies
Promoting gender equality means developing an organizational system capable of providing working conditions and growth opportunities that are accessible to everyone.
Corporate policies are among the key tools for translating these principles into concrete and measurable practices. Recruitment, professional development, training and work organization are some of the areas in which companies can take action to strengthen a culture based on fairness and equal opportunities.
Tools That Support Gender Equality
One of the most important aspects is the ability to listen to the people who experience the workplace every day.
Surveys, discussion activities and listening initiatives make it possible to gather valuable insights, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and develop actions aligned with the organization’s actual needs.
Alongside listening activities, training, transparency in career development paths and attention to work-life balance also play a central role.
Monitoring, Training and Accountability
The effectiveness of a gender equality program also relies on monitoring tools and dedicated figures responsible for overseeing its development over time.
The analysis of specific indicators helps assess the effectiveness of the actions implemented and identify potential areas for improvement. Likewise, the presence of dedicated contacts and working groups helps integrate these topics into the company’s organizational structure.
Master Profili’s Journey
Master Profili has also launched a dedicated gender equality program, developed in line with UNI/PdR 125:2022.
Activities already underway include internal listening initiatives, the monitoring of specific indicators and the definition of tools and reference figures to support the development of the project.
Training sessions involving all company personnel are also scheduled for June, including both office staff and production teams at the Meduna and Fontanelle facilities.
The objective is to share the path undertaken with all employees, increase awareness of the topic and support the introduction of the listening and monitoring activities planned within the project.
This ongoing commitment aims to strengthen, over time, policies and processes focused on people development and organizational growth.
